Intro to American Government with Andrew Hacker showed how to present basic concepts to a large group with wit and insight.

Walter LaFeber’s American Foreign Policy course modeled comparable erudition a skill and provided the framework for my own teaching of American Foreign Policy.

Edward Fox’s Modern European History courses modeled the subtle difference between “learning” history and “doing” history. He led us to search out sources and engage with historians’ interpretations.
